Shirley gained her wealth of experience as a retail travel agent over many years, successfully planning complex itineraries for international travelers. She founded Cape Classics Africa in 2014 when she decided to refocus her expertise on the incredible offering that South Africa has for tourists. The scenic beauty of the country, its incredible wilderness and wildlife areas, together with the quality accommodation, restaurants, and touring on offer makes it a destination that few places in the world can match.

Besides the incredible value for money that South Africa offers, there is a joy that comes from working for a higher cause. The wildlife of Africa is continually under huge threat. Tourism and game lodges create jobs for local communities thereby reducing the need for poaching. Cape Classics Inc. is a wine importer in New York. They also have an office on Lourensford Estate in Somerset West in the Cape Winelands. The affiliation stemmed from Cape Classics Africa originally specializing in wine touring before expanding their product to include safaris in Southern and East Africa.
