Jamie Leigh Bleeker

Jamie Leigh Bleeker is a national guide and professional photographer at JLS Photography. She has been passionately sharing the beauty of our wonderful and stunning country for over 12 years. Her studies in business management equip her with the tools and insights to offer a helping hand to all she meets – making her an invaluable asset to any organisation She is known to go above and beyond – not only to get a good photo but to bring out the best in people. When Jamie is not working, she enjoys yoga, mountain biking and reading or spending time with her fiancee who proposed on Valentine’s Day! One thing you might not know about Jamie is that she loves makeup, beauty and often does vlogs documenting her favourite products and techniques. We spoke with Jamie to learn more about her journey.

Why did you join Western Cape Women in Tourism?

I joined Women In Tourism Western Cape in 2018 to introduce more women to the sector. I am highly focused on promoting equality and helping youth to find a sense of purpose. This organisation gives me the tools and support I need to achieve just that and I am so passionate about the work we do.

What are your top-3 must-do activities when visiting or exploring the Western Cape?

I highly recommend visiting the Winelands trails in Paarl, the Outeniqua Family Market in George or Cape Point Vineyards.
