Women In Tourism Western Cape was founded by Cathy Oosterwyk in 2015.
Today, our non-profit organisation is led by a remarkable and capable executive committee who passionately share their time, efforts and expertise with members and non-members with one common goal – to raise the profile of women in tourism.
Our exco meet regularly to discuss ways to enhance member benefits with a wide range of in-person meetings, special events, educational workshops, member raffles, guest speakers, and more.
The exco is elected by WITWC members biannually and represents the organisation at various networking and industry engagements to advocate for the recognition and representation of women in tourism.
